What the form actually does
Start a Chapter creates an advisor-portal login for the student who is leading the chapter, plus a pending chapter record. That student can sign in immediately. Chapter tools stay closed until an administrator accepts the school.
After accept, the chapter status becomes Founding, the school can appear on the public map, and the chapter lead can add students. They can also send a teacher an advisor account so both people can watch the same chapter. Denied requests do not become pins.
What you should have ready
The high school name, city, and state. The student chapter lead first name, last name, email, and a password they will remember. A short statement about why this school wants MediLink. This is high school only.
Do not invent a second campus or a college chapter on the form. Duplicate school-and-city records are blocked.
