The MediLink Apex
A biennial signature gathering. Every two years, that cycle’s National round becomes a multi-day champions-of-champions summit — not a brand-new case built from scratch, and not a sixth annual event.
How it relates to Nationals
MediLink Nationals remains the annual flagship. In an Apex year, the National round of that cycle is upgraded: the same Regional → State pipeline still feeds it. Top performers from that cycle’s Nationals, Innovation Challenge, Policy Cup, and Research Symposium are invited to one summit.
Building a separate sixth event on top of four annual competitions plus Nationals is not sustainable for an early-stage, two-founder organization. The Apex is an upgrade to an existing National round every other year so “biggest event” is operationally possible.
What the summit includes
- A championship round that pulls from all four annual disciplines.
- A dedicated sponsor networking fair — face time with students, not only a logo on a banner.
- Keynote speakers from medicine, finance, and health-tech.
- A grand awards gala closing the event.
Who is invited
Invitation is earned through the competitions already on the calendar. Chapter leaders hear from the state board when an Apex year is running. This page describes the structure, not a published date.
