Start a Chapter

Bring MediLink to your high school. New chapters get a consistent officer structure, a starter kit, and a path from Founding to Flagship-Eligible.

Three steps

Apply

Submit the chapter application with your school name and your interest in starting a chapter. We will respond with everything you need to get started.

Set Up Your Chapter

Fill officer roles, receive the starter kit, and plan your first meetings using the pre-built agendas.

Start Making an Impact

Run Track 1, host a local case challenge, and work toward Established and Flagship-Eligible status.

Officer structure

Every chapter uses the same five offices so members have real titles and so the three-lens framework has owners — not only the two people who founded MediLink.

President

Sets the chapter agenda, represents the chapter, and keeps officers aligned.

VP of Operations

Runs meetings, logistics, and the day-to-day calendar.

Finance / Treasury Lead

Owns the financial lens inside the chapter — budgets, Track 3 labs, and finance workshops.

Technology Lead

Owns the technology lens — Track 2 content and the chapter’s digital projects.

Outreach & Service Lead

Runs service, recruiting, and local partnerships.

Chapter Starter Kit

Every new chapter gets the same kit so the first semester is not invented from scratch.

  • Chapter charter template
  • First 3 meeting agendas and slide decks, pre-built
  • Curriculum Track 1, Module 1.1 (How Healthcare Gets Paid For), ready to teach
  • A sample local case challenge the chapter can run internally in its first semester

How members join your chapter

Once a chapter is Founding — chartered, officers in place — it receives a unique QR code. That code is how students land on the right roster, not a generic sign-up.

Founding status

Officers in place and the chapter chartered.

Chapter QR

A unique code for flyers, emails, and the school.

Scan & register

The form is pre-linked to this chapter’s roster.

Officer approval

Officers or the advisor confirm real students at that school.

Portal login

Approved members unlock lessons, labs, and competition prep.

The public syllabus is open to everyone. Full lessons wait behind approval. Member Portal

How chapters level up

Status is earned by what the chapter has actually done — not by a label we put on the website in advance.

Status 1

Founding Chapter

Chartered, has officers, and is running meetings.

Status 2

Established Chapter

Has run at least one internal event or case challenge, and has 10+ active members.

Status 3

Flagship-Eligible Chapter

Has participated in a regional competition and may send teams to Nationals.

Reactivate a Chapter

Chapters that have gone inactive — no officers, no meetings, or lapsed membership — can be reactivated rather than started from scratch. Reactivation preserves the chapter’s history and name. What you need is new student leadership ready to step up.
